Foster's Lager

Foster's Lager is a globally recognized beer brand that originated in Australia in 1888. It was founded by Irish-American brothers William and Ralph Foster in Melbourne, Victoria, where they introduced sophisticated refrigeration technology to produce a distinctively crisp, cold-delivered lager that suited the Australian climate.

Today, the brand's manufacturing is highly fragmented depending on the region. In the United Kingdom, it is brewed by Heineken; in Australia, it is managed by Carlton & United Breweries; and in North America, it is brewed under license by Molson Coors. Despite its strong historical association with Australia and its famous 'Australian for Beer' marketing campaigns, it is no longer the leading beer in Australia, having found its largest commercial success in European markets.
