Truvia Eridania Stevia Sweetener

Truvia is a calorie-free sweetener primarily made from stevia leaf extract, erythritol, and natural flavors. It was developed through a partnership between Cargill, Incorporated and The Coca-Cola Company, launched initially in the United States in 2008. The brand is managed globally by Cargill, one of the world's largest food and agricultural corporations.

In the Italian market, Truvia is distributed and co-branded with Eridania, a historic Italian sugar company founded in 1899. While the natural stevia leaf extracts are sourced globally (often from China, Paraguay, or the US), the final packaging for the European market often occurs in facilities across the continent. Eridania Italia S.p.A. manages the commercialization in Italy, but the brand 'Truvia' itself remains under the ultimate ownership of the American multinational Cargill.
