MSI Laptop

MSI (Micro-Star International) is a renowned Taiwanese multinational corporation that has established itself as a global leader in computer hardware and electronics. Founded on August 4, 1986, by five former Sony employees—Joseph Hsu, Jeans Huang, Frank Lin, Kenny Yu, and Henry Lu—the company originally specialized in motherboards and expansion cards before expanding into the high-performance gaming and professional laptop market.

While MSI is headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan, its manufacturing operations are globally distributed. The company operates major production facilities in mainland China (Shenzhen and Kunshan) and Taiwan (Taoyuan). More recently, in early 2025, MSI expanded its manufacturing footprint to Chennai, India, through a collaboration with Syrma SGS to produce localized laptop models. This diversified production strategy allows MSI to serve over 120 countries while maintaining strict quality control over its complex electronics and gaming hardware.
