Founded by Mike and Lorraine Brehme, the brand became a pioneer in the ethical tea market, being the UK's first Fairtrade tea company. The 'Snore & Peace' variant is a popular herbal infusion blending chamomile, lemon balm, and lavender.

Today, the brand is owned by Ecotone (formerly Wessanen), a European leader in organic and sustainable food products. While the raw ingredients are sourced globally from Fairtrade estates, the blending and packaging primarily take place at their factory in Beaminster, Dorset, UK. The company maintains a strong commitment to natural, fair, and delicious products, using plastic-free, unbleached tea bags.
