Innocent drinks began its journey in 1998 when three graduates from Cambridge University sold smoothies at a small music festival in London. After asking customers to vote on whether they should quit their jobs to make smoothies by placing their empty bottles in 'Yes' or 'No' bins, the overwhelming 'Yes' led to the birth of the brand in 1999. Today, it is one of the most recognized premium juice and smoothie brands in Europe.

While the brand maintains a playful and independent-feeling marketing image, it is wholly owned by one of the world's largest beverage corporations. This partnership has allowed Innocent to expand its distribution significantly across the continent while maintaining its commitment to sustainability and donating a portion of its profits to charity.

The manufacturing process primarily takes place in Europe, specifically at 'The Blender'—the company's carbon-neutral bottling plant in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as well as various sites in the UK. This strategic location helps minimize the carbon footprint of its supply chain while serving its core European markets.
