Asda Brand Products

Asda is one of the United Kingdom's "Big Four" grocery retailers, offering a vast range of products including food, beverages, personal care, and home goods under its own private-label branding. While the brand is synonymous with British retail, its manufacturing base is global. Asda's own-brand food products are largely sourced from British farmers and manufacturers to support local industry; however, non-perishable goods, apparel (under the George brand), and electronics are produced across multiple countries including China, India, and Bangladesh.

Originally founded in West Yorkshire in the 1960s, Asda's history is marked by its long-standing ownership by the American retail giant Walmart. In 2021, the brand transitioned back to majority British ownership. Today, the brand is owned by the Issa brothers and TDR Capital under the umbrella company Bellis Finco, maintaining its headquarters in Leeds while operating hundreds of stores across the UK.
