Kongens Bryghus (KB) Juleøl

Kongens Bryghus Juleøl is a traditional Danish 'hvidtøl' (white beer), which is a low-alcohol, dark, and sweet beer traditionally consumed during the Christmas season. The brand Kongens Bryghus, or 'The King's Brewhouse,' has deep historical roots in Copenhagen dating back to the 15th century when it was the primary supplier to the royal court.

Today, the brand is owned by the Carlsberg Group, one of the largest brewing companies in the world. While the original King's Brewhouse building is a historic landmark in Copenhagen, the production of KB Juleøl is now integrated into Carlsberg's modern brewing facilities in Denmark. Despite being part of a global conglomerate, it remains a quintessential part of Danish Christmas tradition, often paired with rice pudding (risengrød).
