Lancia Ypsilon

The Lancia Ypsilon is a premium supermini car with a rich Italian heritage. Originally introduced in 1995 as a successor to the Y10, the Ypsilon brand has long been synonymous with Italian style and urban luxury. For several years, the model was primarily manufactured in Italy and Poland, eventually becoming the sole model in Lancia's lineup, sold exclusively in the Italian market.

Following the formation of Stellantis from the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the Lancia brand has undergone a major revitalization. The latest generation of the Ypsilon marks the brand's return to the international market, utilizing shared modular platforms. While historically an Italian-made vehicle, production of the newest electric and hybrid iterations has expanded to include facilities in Zaragoza, Spain.

Today, the brand is part of the extensive Stellantis portfolio, positioning it alongside other premium marques like Alfa Romeo and DS Automobiles. As of 2024 and looking toward 2026, the brand is focused on a transition to a full-electric lineup under the strategic leadership of the Amsterdam-headquartered conglomerate.
