JBL is a legendary American audio brand founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing. Known for its presence in both consumer and professional audio markets, JBL has become a global leader in the production of high-fidelity loudspeakers and portable entertainment devices like the PartyBox series shown in the image. While the brand carries a deep American heritage from its roots in Los Angeles, its manufacturing operations became globalized to meet international demand.

In 2017, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when its parent company, Harman International Industries, was acquired by Samsung Electronics. Today, JBL operates as a core brand under the Harman division within the Samsung corporate family.
