Indesit dishwasher

Indesit is a prominent Italian brand originally founded by Vittorio Merloni. Historically, it was part of Indesit Company S.p.A., one of Europe's leading manufacturers of domestic appliances.

In 2014, the American appliance giant Whirlpool Corporation acquired a majority stake in Indesit, eventually taking full ownership. In a subsequent strategic shift in 2024, Whirlpool integrated its European major domestic appliance business into a new joint venture, Beko Europe, which is majority-owned by the Turkish appliance manufacturer Arçelik. Today, Indesit remains a key brand under this new ownership structure. Manufacturing for Indesit products occurs across various sites in Europe, including Italy, Poland, and Turkey.
