Innocent is a prominent brand that originated in the United Kingdom, founded in 1998 by three friends—Richard Reed, Adam Balon, and Jon Wright—after a successful trial at a music festival. Although the brand is famous for its London-based 'Fruit Towers' headquarters and its carbon-neutral 'Blender' factory in Rotterdam, its coconut water specifically is sustainably sourced from Fair Trade Certified farms in Thailand and the Philippines. In Thailand, the product is processed and packed to preserve its fresh, 100% pure taste.
While Innocent began as an independent startup, it was gradually acquired by The Coca-Cola Company between 2009 and 2013. Today, it remains a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola but operates with significant autonomy, maintaining its B Corp certification and a strong commitment to ethical sourcing and environmental sustainability.
