Discover where a brand or product originates
Founded in 1879 by August Vanvittel, a Swiss engineer who moved to Campania and Italianized his name to Voiello, the brand has become a symbol of Neapolitan pasta tradition. Voiello is renowned for using 100% Italian 'Grano Aureo' wheat, which ensures high protein content and superior texture.
Since 1973, the brand has been part of the Barilla Group. While Barilla operates globally, the Voiello production remains strictly Italian, primarily based in the Marcianise plant in Campania, maintaining its deep historical connection to the Torre Annunziata region. As of 2026, the brand remains an integral high-end portfolio asset for the Barilla family.
