Too Good To Go is a certified B Corp and a social impact company that has transformed the way consumers and businesses approach food waste. Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2015, the platform connects customers with restaurants and grocery stores that have unsold, surplus food. This digital marketplace allows users to purchase 'Surprise Bags' at a fraction of the original retail price, preventing perfectly good food from being discarded and ending up in landfills.
The company was established by a group of young entrepreneurs, including Chris Wilson, Jamie Crummie, and others, though it was eventually consolidated under the leadership of Mette Lykke (formerly of Endomondo). Unlike many tech startups that are quickly acquired by conglomerates, Too Good To Go remains an independent entity owned by its founders and institutional investors. Its headquarters remain in Copenhagen, and it has successfully expanded its operations across Europe, North America, and parts of Asia, maintaining its focus on sustainability and environmental impact.
