Blauschürzler red wine

Blauschürzler is a traditional red wine cuvée produced by Cantina Girlan (Kellerei Girlan), located in the South Tyrol (Alto Adige) region of Northern Italy. The brand name refers to the 'blue apron' (Blauschürze) traditionally worn by farmers in the region.

The wine is produced and bottled at the cooperative's facility in Girlan (Eppan/Appiano), Italy. Cantina Girlan was founded in 1923 by group of 23 winegrowers and remains a cooperative-owned company today, meaning it is owned by its approximately 200 member families who cultivate the vineyards in the surrounding area.
