Liabel underwear

Liabel is a historic Italian brand specializing in underwear and knitwear, with its origins dating back to 1851 in Pettinengo, Biella. Originally founded by the Liatti family as a spinning and knitting mill, it became a cornerstone of the Italian textile industry, known for its focus on quality and comfort.

Starting in the late 20th century, the company underwent several ownership changes. Since 2001, Liabel has been part of the American multinational garment company Fruit of the Loom, which itself is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. While the brand maintains its Italian identity and design heritage, manufacturing is now distributed across multiple global locations to leverage modern supply chains, though it retains a strong presence in the European market.
