Vía de la Plata Cava

Vía de la Plata is a historic brand of Cava originating from Almendralejo, Spain, which is notably located in the Extremadura region—one of the few areas outside of Catalonia authorized to produce D.O. Cava. The brand was founded in the early 1980s and has since become a benchmark for sparkling wine production in the Ribera del Guadiana area.

Today, the brand is owned and operated by Bodegas Vía de la Plata S.L. The entire production process, from the cultivation of grapes like Macabeo and Parellada to the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle, takes place in their cellars in Almendralejo. This local ownership ensures the preservation of traditional winemaking techniques specific to the Extremaduran terroir.
