Baci Perugina is one of the most iconic symbols of Italian confectionery, famous for its hazelnut-topped chocolates wrapped in love notes. The brand was created in 1922 in Perugia, Italy, by Luisa Spagnoli and Giovanni Buitoni at the Perugina factory.
Today, the brand remains deeply rooted in its Italian heritage, with the primary manufacturing facility still located in San Sisto, Perugia. Since 1988, Perugina has been owned by the Swiss multinational Nestlé. While it is a global brand with a Swiss ultimate owner, the production maintains its protected 'Made in Italy' status, ensuring the original recipe and traditional craftsmanship are preserved.
