Founded in 1850 by Jean Desiré Beauvais, the brand initially specialized in canned foods and preserves. Over time, it evolved into Denmark's leading ketchup brand.

The organic variant (Økologisk) highlighted in the image is produced with a focus on natural ingredients and traditional taste. While the brand has deep Danish roots and the production of its core ketchup line remains primarily in Denmark (specifically at the factory in Svinninge), the ownership has transitioned internationally.

Today, Beauvais is owned by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA, which acquired the brand as part of its strategy to consolidate leading Nordic food brands. Orkla remains the ultimate owner as of 2026, managing Beauvais through its Danish subsidiary, Orkla Foods Danmark.
