Tempo tissues soft pack

Tempo is one of Germany's most iconic brands, established in 1929 by the Vereinigte Papierwerke AG in Nuremberg. For decades, it has served as the generic trademark for paper tissues in the German-speaking world. The brand revolutionized personal hygiene by introducing the first disposable paper handkerchief, replacing traditional cloth versions.

Initially owned by the Camelia company and later SCA, the brand is currently under the ownership of Essity, a Swedish global hygiene and health company that was spun off from SCA in 2017. While the brand originated in Germany and maintains major production facilities there—notably in Neuss—it is now part of an international portfolio with distribution and manufacturing across Europe.
