Daler-Rowney System3 Original is a versatile, high-quality water-based acrylic paint range widely used by artists and students globally. Developed for its excellent lightfastness and permanence, it provides a consistent flow and coverage that has made it a staple in the art community.
The history of the brand is deeply rooted in British heritage. Daler-Rowney was formed in 1983 through the merger of two long-standing English art supply companies: Daler Board Company (founded in 1946) and George Rowney & Company (founded in 1783). All System3 acrylics continue to be manufactured at the company's headquarters and production facility in Bracknell, England.
In 2016, Daler-Rowney was acquired by the Italian corporate group F.I.L.A. (Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini S.p.A.). This acquisition integrated the British brand into a massive global portfolio of art materials, though Daler-Rowney maintains its UK-based manufacturing operations and regional distribution networks.
