Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia IGT

Doppio Passo Primitivo is a well-known red wine from the Puglia region in southern Italy. The brand is famous for its 'double step' (doppio passo) fermentation process, where a portion of the grapes is harvested at full maturity and another portion is harvested later to ensure a rich, aromatic, and full-bodied flavor profile.

The wine is produced and bottled by Botter S.p.A., a major Italian winery located in Fossalta di Piave. Although Botter was historically a family-run business founded in 1928, it was acquired by the private equity firm Clessidra and later integrated into 'Argea', a leading group in the Italian wine industry focused on international distribution. In Germany, the brand is distributed by Eggers & Franke, which is part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm group.
