HP Sauce, named after London's Houses of Parliament, is an iconic British brown sauce brand. Originally invented by Frederick Gibson Garton, a grocer from Nottingham in the late 19th century, HP Fruity is a popular variant known for its milder and tangier flavour profile compared to the original recipe.

While the brand is deeply rooted in British cultural heritage and historical imagery, its manufacturing history saw a significant change in 2007 when the primary production facility was moved from Aston, Birmingham, to the Netherlands. This move occurred following the brand's acquisition by the American multinational H.J. Heinz Company. Today, the brand is owned by Kraft Heinz, a global food and beverage giant headquartered in the United States, which manages the production and global distribution of the HP product line.
