Haribo Chamallows Choco are chocolate-coated marshmallows produced by Haribo, the world-famous confectionery brand. The brand was founded in 1920 in Bonn, Germany, by Hans Riegel. The name 'Haribo' is an acronym derived from its founder's name and its hometown: HAns RIegel BOnn.
While Haribo is a German company, the Chamallows line is often associated with production facilities in Belgium following the acquisition of the Belgian marshmallow specialist Dulcia. Today, Haribo remains a family-owned enterprise, with the third generation of the Riegel family maintaining control of the global business. The company operates numerous production sites across Europe and North America to meet international demand.
