Chang Classic Beer is one of Thailand's most recognizable beverages, launched in 1995 to cater to the local market and eventually becoming a global export. The brand is deeply rooted in Thai culture, featuring two white elephants on its logo—a symbol of prosperity and strength in Thailand. It is a pale lager known for its crisp, refreshing profile and traditional hops.
The brand was originally established by ThaiBev (Thai Beverage Public Company Limited), a leading beverage company in Southeast Asia founded by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi. Today, Chang is produced in high-tech breweries across Thailand and is distributed internationally to over 50 countries.
Ownership of the brand remains with ThaiBev, which has grown to become a massive international conglomerate with a portfolio spanning spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, and food services. Under its ultimate ownership, Chang has expanded its presence through sports sponsorships, most notably its long-standing association with football, helping it maintain its position as a dominant force in the global beer market.
