Guiluxe beer

Guiluxe, also known as "La Guinéenne de Luxe," is the national lager of Guinea. First created in 1948 by SOBOA (Société des Brasseries de l'Ouest Africain), it was initially brewed in Senegal and bottled in Guinea. Following the nationalization of the brewery in 1958, it was rebranded as SOBRAGUI (Société des Brasseries de Guinée) and production was moved entirely within Guinea. The brand is deeply symbolic of Guinean identity and pride.

Today, the brand is under the ultimate ownership of the French conglomerate Groupe Castel, which acquired the brewery in 2008. While most production for the local market occurs at the historic Madina brewery in Conakry and a second site in Kissidougou, the brand's parent company operates a vast international network across Africa and Europe, contributing to its distribution and potential production in regional hubs.
