Cuétara Choco Flakes are a unique breakfast product, often described as a hybrid between a biscuit and a cereal. These crunchy puffed rice and chocolate chip biscuits are a staple in the Spanish market, known for their distinct texture and the 'Crazy Flakers' brand identity. The product is primarily manufactured in Spain, specifically at the historic Villarejo de Salvanés plant in Madrid.

The brand's history is a transcontinental journey. It was founded in 1935 in Mexico City by the Spanish brothers Juan and Florencio Gómez Cuétara, who had emigrated from Cantabria. After achieving success in Mexico, they returned to Spain in 1946 to replicate the business, establishing what would become a pillar of the Spanish food industry.

Over the decades, ownership has transitioned through several major food groups. In 2001, it merged to form SOS Cuétara, and later its biscuit division was sold to Nutrexpa. Following the division of Nutrexpa in 2015, Cuétara became a cornerstone brand of Adam Foods, a prominent Spanish food group owned by the Ventura family. Today, Adam Foods oversees the brand's production and international distribution to over 50 countries.
