Carmencita is one of Spain's most iconic spice brands, founded in 1923 by Jesús Navarro Jover in Novelda, Alicante. The brand is famous for its logo featuring a young girl (the founder's daughter, Carmen) and its leadership in the saffron and spice market. Historically, the company was a family-run business under the name Jesús Navarro S.A. In the late 20th century, Ebro Foods (formerly Ebro Agrícolas) acquired a 50% stake in the company, though the Navarro family eventually repurchased it to regain full ownership. Today, the brand remains a family-owned enterprise led by the third generation of the Navarro family. All Carmencita products are manufactured in their state-of-the-art facilities in Novelda, Spain, maintaining a century-long tradition of quality and innovation in the seasoning sector.
