Sinalco Zitronenlimonade

Sinalco is a historic German beverage brand, originally founded in 1902 by the naturopath Friedrich Eduard Bilz and industrialist Franz Hartmann as 'Bilz-Brause'. The name 'Sinalco'—derived from the Latin 'sine alcohole' (without alcohol)—was officially registered in 1905, making it the oldest soft drink brand in Europe.

Today, the brand's international trademark rights are owned by the Hövelmann family through Sinalco International GmbH & Co. KG. While the company operates a global franchise system with local partners and production facilities in over 40 countries (including significant presence in the Middle East and Africa), the product shown, destined for the German market (identifiable by the 'Mehrweg' deposit system and EAN-13 barcode), is produced in Germany. The Hövelmann family acquired the rights in 1994 and successfully relaunched the brand as a cultural icon, maintaining its status as one of Germany's most popular soft drink choices.
