Shreddies breakfast cereal

Shreddies is a long-standing breakfast cereal brand with a dual-ownership structure based on geographic region. Originally introduced in Canada in 1939 by Nabisco (initially under the name 'Cubs'), the cereal consists of lattice-patterned squares made from 100% whole grain wheat.

In North America, specifically Canada, the brand is owned and manufactured by Post Consumer Brands (a subsidiary of Post Holdings). These products are primarily produced at the historic Niagara Falls plant in Ontario. Conversely, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the brand is owned and marketed by Cereal Partners Worldwide, a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills, and is manufactured at a facility in Staverton, Wiltshire. Despite these different corporate owners, the product remains iconic in both markets for its crunchy texture and malty flavor profile.
