Tesla appliances

Tesla appliances, often referred to as Tesla Elettrodomestici in Italian-speaking markets, is a consumer electronics and home appliance brand that is entirely independent of Elon Musk's Tesla, Inc. The brand is owned and operated by the Comtrade Group, a large IT and technology provider headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia.

Historically, the Tesla name has deep roots in Central and Eastern Europe, originating from the Czechoslovak state-owned conglomerate founded in 1946. While various entities use the name today, the modern line of 'Tesla' appliances was launched by Comtrade in 2014 to serve markets across Southeast Europe and beyond. In 2024, the brand officially expanded its presence into Italy, introducing a wide range of products including refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and smart home devices. Manufacturing is typically outsourced to various global partners in Europe and Asia, particularly China, to maintain competitive pricing while the research and development are led by the Comtrade Group.
