MinusL is a prominent German brand specializing in lactose-free dairy products. It was launched in 2001 by OMIRA GmbH (Oberland-Milchverwertung Ravensburg), a traditional dairy company founded in 1929 in Ravensburg, Germany. The brand was established to provide high-quality dairy alternatives for people with lactose intolerance, maintaining the full taste of traditional milk products through the addition of the enzyme lactase.

In 2017, OMIRA GmbH was acquired by the French dairy giant Lactalis Group. Following this acquisition, MinusL became part of one of the largest dairy portfolios in the world. The production of MinusL products, including this grain-textured cottage cheese (Körniger Frischkäse), remains primarily centered in Germany, utilizing regional milk from the Lake Constance and Upper Swabia areas. The brand continues to operate as a key subsidiary under the Lactalis Deutschland division, benefiting from the parent company's global distribution network.
