Mañocao is a Spanish brand of soluble cocoa powder specifically rooted in the region of Aragon. It was created in 2013 by two entrepreneurs from Zaragoza, Laura Bustillo and Carmelo Heras, initially as a humorous alternative to national brands. The product gained rapid popularity due to its local branding, featuring the iconic 'cachirulo' (Aragonese headscarf) and landmarks like the Basilica del Pilar alongside international monuments.
While the brand is owned and commercialized by Mañocao & Friends S.L., the actual industrial production is handled by Ibercacao S.A. (part of the Lacasa Group), a renowned Spanish chocolate manufacturer also based in the Aragon region. This partnership ensures that while the brand maintains its independent, 'indie' spirit, it benefits from high-quality professional manufacturing facilities.
