Twinings Exclusive Black Tea

Twinings is one of the world's most storied tea brands, with a heritage dating back to 1706 when Thomas Twining opened London's first known tea room at No. 216 Strand. The brand has maintained a continuous presence at this location for over three centuries and holds the distinction of having the world's oldest continually used company logo, created in 1787. Originally founded as a specialist tea and coffee merchant, Twinings became synonymous with British tea culture and was famously credited with reproducing the Earl Grey blend at the request of Prime Minister Charles Grey in the 1830s.

Today, the brand is owned by Associated British Foods (ABF), a global food, ingredients, and retail group headquartered in the United Kingdom, which acquired Twinings in 1964. While the brand's heart remains in London, its manufacturing footprint is international. Following a major production shift in 2011, a significant portion of Twinings' tea for global markets is processed and packaged in Poland and China, though it still maintains a specialized facility in Andover, Hampshire, UK. The raw tea leaves are sourced from diverse tea-growing regions including India (Assam and Darjeeling), Sri Lanka, Kenya, and China, reflecting a truly global supply chain managed by their team of master blenders.
