La Tarifeña is a historic Spanish brand specializing in artisanal canned fish, particularly mackerel and melva (frigate tuna) from the Andalusian coast. The brand's origins date back to 1910, when it was founded by Salvador Pérez Quero in Tarifa, a town in the province of Cádiz renowned for its fishing tradition and strategic location at the Strait of Gibraltar.

Today, the brand is part of Industrial Conservera de Tarifa S.L.U., a company formed through the merger of several traditional canning factories in the area. This union was created to preserve traditional manufacturing methods, such as manual cleaning and packing by expert 'estibadoras' (female cannery workers), while expanding its reach into international markets. All products are manufactured in Tarifa, Spain, often carrying the 'Indicación Geográfica Protegida' (PGI) seal for Mackerel and Melva of Andalusia, ensuring the local origin and artisanal quality of the fish.
