Air Wick is a leading global brand specializing in home fragrance and air care. It was originally founded in 1943 in the United States by Guy Paschal. Over the decades, the brand has grown significantly, expanding its presence to over 80 countries. Its history is marked by several corporate transitions; it was acquired by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Ciba-Geigy in 1974 before being sold in 1984 to the British company Reckitt & Colman (now known as Reckitt).

Manufacturing of Air Wick products occurs in multiple countries across the globe, including facilities in Mexico and various European and Asian locations, to support its massive international distribution network. In a significant strategic shift, as of 2025, a majority stake (70%) in Air Wick and the rest of the 'Essential Home' portfolio was acquired by the private equity firm Advent International from Reckitt. Reckitt continues to hold a 30% minority interest. This transition aims to foster the brand's growth as part of a dedicated standalone home care platform.
