The Flower Farm is a Dutch brand founded by Marcel van Wing with a mission to stop deforestation of tropical rainforests. The brand was inspired by van Wing's time in Indonesia, where he witnessed firsthand the environmental impact of large-scale palm oil plantations. In response, he launched a line of margarines and spreads that completely replace palm oil with sustainable alternatives like shea butter, sunflower oil, and rapeseed oil.

Since its founding, the brand has gained significant popularity in the Netherlands for its "palm-free" messaging and activist stance. While it faced legal challenges regarding some of its advertising claims about the palm oil industry, it remains a major player in the Dutch market for ethical food choices.
