Winston is a world-renowned brand of cigarettes that was originally introduced in 1954 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in the United States. Named after Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the city where the company was headquartered, it quickly became one of the top-selling cigarette brands globally due to its marketing as a 'filter cigarette' with a full flavor profile.

Today, the ownership of Winston is split between two major entities depending on the region. In the United States, the brand is owned and manufactured by ITG Brands, a subsidiary of the British multinational Imperial Brands. Globally (outside of the U.S.), the brand is owned by Japan Tobacco International (JTI), which acquired the international rights from R.J. Reynolds in 1999. Consequently, manufacturing occurs in numerous facilities around the world, including locations in Europe, Asia, and North America, to supply various regional markets.
