Önos Mor Annas Smörgåsgurka

Önos is a classic Swedish brand with deep roots in Tollarp, Scania, where it was founded in 1903 by Ragnar Wollin. The brand is renowned for its high-quality jams, juices, and pickled products, such as the iconic Mor Annas smörgåsgurka (sandwich pickles). These pickles are a staple in Swedish pantries, often paired with liver pâté or used as a side dish.

Historically an independent local producer, Önos was eventually acquired by the Norwegian food giant Orkla. Today, the brand is part of Orkla Foods Sverige. While Orkla is a multinational conglomerate with operations across many countries, the Önos production facility remains specialized, and the majority of its traditional vegetable and fruit products are still produced in Sweden to maintain their authentic regional character.
