Parodontax is a specialized oral care brand with a history dating back to 1937, when it was developed by German dentist Dr. Focke. Originally formulated with a high concentration of sodium bicarbonate to treat bleeding gums, the brand was initially managed by the German pharmaceutical company Madaus. Over the decades, the brand's ownership shifted through various pharmaceutical giants, including Block Drug and later GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

In 2022, as part of a major corporate restructuring, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into an independent, publicly traded company called Haleon. Based in Weybridge, United Kingdom, Haleon now serves as the ultimate owner of Parodontax, along with other well-known brands like Sensodyne and Aquafresh. While the brand has German roots, its modern production is globalized. In recent years, Haleon has transitioned its European toothpaste manufacturing hub to Levice, Slovakia, following the phased closure of older facilities in locations like the UK.
