Orangina is an iconic carbonated citrus beverage renowned for its unique blend of orange, lemon, mandarin, and grapefruit juices combined with real fruit pulp. The brand traces its origins back to 1933, when Spanish pharmacist Dr. Agustín Trigo Miralles developed a formula called 'Naranjina.' French businessman Léon Beton purchased the concept in 1935 and officially launched the brand in France. Over the decades, it became a cultural staple in Europe, famous for its 'bulby' bottle and the signature ritual of shaking the container to mix the pulp before drinking.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major corporations, including Pernod Ricard and Cadbury Schweppes. Since 2009, the brand has been owned by the Japanese conglomerate Suntory Holdings. In the German market, the distribution and management rights have been held by the Krombacher Brauerei since 2006, which handles the localized production and supply for that region. Globally, the product is manufactured in various facilities across Europe and licensed territories to ensure freshness and regional availability.
