Kalles Kaviar is one of Sweden's most iconic food products since its launch in 1954. Produced by Abba Seafood in Kungshamn, Sweden, the blue packaging and the picture of the blonde boy have become synonymous with Swedish breakfast culture. The product is primarily made from salted and smoked cod roe, sugar, and oil.
The brand was originally developed by the seafood company Abba (Aktiebolaget Bröderna Ameln). Over the decades, through various corporate consolidations, the brand came under the ownership of the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA. Today, it remains a flagship brand in the Nordic market, maintaining its traditional production site in Sweden to ensure the authentic flavor profile that has been a staple for over 70 years.
