Lindex is a prominent Swedish-born fashion chain that has grown into a significant international retailer. Founded in 1954 by Ingemar Boman and Bengt Rosell in Alingsås, Sweden, the brand originally started as a lingerie store named 'Fynd'. Over decades, it expanded its range to include womenswear, kidswear, and cosmetics. While its design and strategic headquarters remain in Gothenburg, Sweden, the brand is now under Finnish ownership following its acquisition in 2007.

In terms of production, Lindex does not own its factories. Instead, it maintains a transparent supply chain through long-term partnerships with independent suppliers. Manufacturing primarily takes place in major garment hubs across Asia and Europe, specifically in Bangladesh, China, India, and Turkey, where Lindex maintains its own production offices to oversee quality and sustainability standards. In 2024, the parent company Stockmann plc officially changed its name to Lindex Group plc to reflect the brand's central role in the group's success and future strategy.
