The brand is famous for its 'plant-based' approach to flavoring milk, with banana and chocolate being its most iconic varieties.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership shifted through major global food conglomerates, including Kraft Foods and later Mondelēz International. In 2019, Kaba was acquired by the French company Carambar & Co, which is controlled by the investment firm Eurazeo. Today, Kaba continues to be produced primarily in Germany, maintaining its heritage while being managed by a French-owned portfolio of confectionery and chocolate brands.
