OLW Cheez Ballz

OLW Cheez Ballz are a classic Swedish snack consisting of spherical, cheese-flavored corn puffs. The brand OLW (Old London Wasa) was established in 1967 as a joint venture between the Swedish crispbread producer Wasabröd and the American company Borden Foods.

Today, the brand is a staple of Swedish 'fredagsmys' (Friday coziness). The manufacturing primarily takes place at the specialized snacks factory in Filipstad, Sweden, ensuring local production for the Nordic market. Ownership has evolved significantly over the decades, moving from its original founders to large international food conglomerates.

Currently, OLW is owned by the Norwegian group Orkla ASA. Orkla acquired the brand through its purchase of Chips Abp in 2005. It now operates as part of the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division, which is one of the leading suppliers of snacks throughout Scandinavia and the Baltics.
