Migros supermarket chain

Migros is Switzerland's largest retail company, founded in 1925 by Gottlieb Duttweiler in Zurich. Initially operating as a mobile shop selling basic foodstuffs, it expanded into a cooperative structure in 1941, becoming the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. Over the years, Migros has diversified its operations, including ventures in Turkey and Germany. In 1975, it sold its stake in Migros Türk, Turkey's largest retailer, to the Koç Group. In 2015, BC Partners sold its 40.25% stake in Migros Türk to the Anadolu Group, a Turkish conglomerate. Migros continues to operate primarily in Switzerland, offering a wide range of products and services.
