Cipster potato snacks

Cipster is one of Italy's most recognizable snack brands, famous for its unique crunchy texture and aerated potato puff composition. Launched in the Italian market in the late 1960s, it quickly became a cultural icon known for its thin, leaf-like shape and distinctive red box packaging.

Originally created by the Italian company Saiwa, the brand has undergone changes in corporate ownership following the consolidation of the global food industry. Today, Cipster is produced in Italy, primarily at the historic plant in Capriata d'Orba. The brand is managed under the umbrella of Mondelez International, which acquired the biscuit and snack division of Danone (including Saiwa) in 2007. Mondelez, an American multinational, continues to distribute the product as a staple of the Italian snack market through its local subsidiary.
