Italian Government (Governo Italiano)

The Italian Government (Governo Italiano) is the executive branch of the Italian Republic. It is composed of the President of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister) and the Ministers, who together form the Council of Ministers. The government is founded upon the Constitution of Italy, which was adopted in 1947.

Technically not a commercial product, the Italian government operates as the sovereign authority of Italy. Its 'origin' dates back to the unification of Italy in 1861, though the current republican form was established following the 1946 institutional referendum. All legislative and administrative manufacturing of the state occurs within the national territory of Italy, primarily headquartered in Rome at Palazzo Chigi.
