Duckstein Rotblond Original beer

Duckstein is a premium German beer brand with historical roots dating back to the 17th century in Königslutter, Lower Saxony. The ‘Rotblond Original’ is famously matured on beechwood, providing its unique top-fermented taste profile. Originally brewed as a regional specialty, the brand gained national prominence in the late 20th century.

Today, the beer is produced primarily at the Holsten Brewery in Hamburg, following traditional recipes while using modern large-scale brewing techniques. Although it maintains its specialty craft-like image, the brand is part of a large multinational portfolio. It is currently owned by the Carlsberg Group, a Danish brewing giant that acquired the brand through its purchase of the Holsten Group in 2004.
