Over the decades, the ownership of Jacobs has split due to various corporate mergers and acquisitions. In the Republic of Ireland, the brand became part of Valeo Foods. In the United Kingdom and internationally, the brand was acquired by United Biscuits, which was later purchased by the global snacking giant pladis. Manufacturing today takes place in several locations, including the historic Jacob’s factory in Aintree, Liverpool, and various sites across Ireland.

Currently, the brand is under the umbrella of pladis (for UK/International markets), which is owned by the Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding. The brand remains a dominant force in the biscuit and cracker market, maintaining its reputation for traditional crispness and quality through sustainable mass production and heritage-focused marketing.
