TEREA tobacco sticks

TEREA is a brand of specialized tobacco sticks designed exclusively for use with the IQOS ILUMA induction heating system. Unlike traditional cigarettes that burn tobacco, TEREA sticks use the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, which features a metal heating element inside the stick to heat the tobacco from within without combustion. This technology was developed to provide a smoke-free experience with no ash and less odor compared to conventional cigarettes.

The brand was launched in 2021 by Philip Morris International (PMI). While the technology and brand development are rooted in PMI's global research hubs, such as those in Switzerland, the manufacturing is decentralized to meet global demand. Major production facilities are located in Italy (specifically Crespellano), South Korea (Yangsan), Poland, and Romania. These sticks are a core part of PMI's transition toward a 'smoke-free' future.
